Hector Fort underwent nose surgery to address a respiratory problem that had hampered his performances last football season.

Fort has struggled for fitness and has rarely featured for German coach Hansi Flick. With reports suggesting the player is struggling with a respiratory problem. Leading the club to decide to have the 18-year-old full-back undergo surgery on his nasal septum. And will be out for around four weeks. Although he will be available for pre-season training. 

The 18-year-old full-back made just 18 appearances last season, starting just five times, for a total of 710 minutes. But Flick is expected to give him a bigger role next season after addressing the issues he faced throughout last term.

Fort had something of a frustrating campaign but did feature a little more in the final weeks of the season.

He ended up making 20 appearances for Hansi Flick’s side in all competitions and will be hoping for more in the coming campaign.

There has been speculation that Fort could move on in the summer. But it’s thought that he is eager to stay and not willing to listen to any offers to move.
