Ukraine goalkeeper Andrey Lunin is too good to be under Thibaut Courtois’ elbow next season, according to the Ukrainian legend’s view.

Legendary Ukrainian football player Igor Belanov spoke frankly about Andrey Lunin’s future, saying the 25-year-old goalkeeper should decide to leave Real Madrid if he remains as a player. The 63-year-old Ukrainian legend also said the European Championships in Germany could be a good opportunity for Lunin to attract the attention of Europe’s top clubs.

‘He understands that it is now very important for him to express himself at the Euros. Because scouts from many important clubs in the world will be keeping an eye on him, if Lunin is successful, Real Madrid will receive many offers from top clubs and may let Lunin go.’

‘Andrey is unhappy with the chance of being No.2 forever and there is no guarantee of regular playing time at Madrid. He will want to leave.’

Ukraine goalkeeper has been linked with a number of clubs, including Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, who may offer €25 million to sign the player, but Belanov has advised Lunin that he should. Will move to play with Bayern Munich.
